Prayer—The Practice That Brings God Near

I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. Isaiah 45:2

Prayer doesn’t need proof, it needs practice. God is as close as your next breath. He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you. This means that when the dearest on earth has turned their backs on you, God sees. He knows your pain. And He wants to set things straight.

If you want to make a difference in your day, begin each morning with prayer. As soon as you start to pray, God releases His angels to meet your every need. Then get ready! Great and mighty things are about to happen!

Prayer is the weapon that God has given His children to wage war in the heavenly. Put on the full armor of God and make it a great day. Satan is a defeated foe who has no power over you as a child of God. He cannot stop you when God is on your side. Run to the One who calmed the raging seas with three simple words: “Peace, be still.”

If you feel like you’ve hit more bumps than usual on the road of life, look to the face of God! He has promised to lead you down a path that will grant you the greatest possible success. If you need Him to make crooked places straight, call on His name, then leave the driving to Him!

Living by Another Standard: Embracing the Strangeness of Faith

Let’s face it. As Bible-believing Christians, we are a little strange by the standards of this world. We live by another set of rules.

We feel supreme love for One we have never seen and talk to someone that we have not touched. We empty ourselves to become full, decreasing so that Christ might increase. We lower ourselves to become servants of all so that we will rise up as the first. When we are at our absolute weakest, He makes us strong.

When we are poor, we are very rich. We give our things away so that we may keep them forever. We deposit treasures in a heavenly bank that we have yet to visit.

We die daily, little by little, to lay down our lives so that we can live forever. Death is not a tragedy for us believers; it is a reward for the righteous!

We perceive the invisible. He has given us eyes to see! We discern the inaudible. He has given us ears to hear! Because we are rooted and grounded in Him, He has opened our understanding to the Truth that this world cannot comprehend.

In His upside-down, inside-out economy, the impossible is made possible for those who are odd for God.

GLORY TO GLORY

"Reflecting God's Image: Developing His Characteristics For Potential"

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Our potential is determined by the characteristics of God that we develop and exhibit in our lives. If we truly belong to Him, and He abides in us, His characteristics will be our characteristics.

As long as we remain in contact with our Source, our life will explode in an avalanche of good things. When we are rooted and grounded in the Word of God, we have the same power that Jesus demonstrated.

God is faithful to keep His promises; His word is His bond. He always does what He says. Do you? God surrounds us with mercy. Do you do the same for others? God lavishes unconditional love on people who do not deserve it – like He did for you. Do you love in the same way?

God completely forgives a person’s trespasses and does not remember those sins anymore. Do you forgive those who trespass against you? Do you resurrect their shortcomings in moments of anger? He teaches with gentleness and humility. Do you?

Paul encouraged us to grow up in every aspect, to become mature, to be transformed into God’s image by the Spirit of the Lord. Little by little, are you looking more like Jesus – developing His character – to reach your God-given potential?

God Is Always With You

For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5

In the thick of battle, we are often tempted to believe that God has turned His back, walked away, and left us defenseless.

It’s one of Satan’s greatest tactics – to convince us that the Lord has abandoned us and forsaken His love for us. In the face of the father of lies, God’s Word stands forever true and unchanging. He will never leave or forsake us.

Salvation brings us the promise of a Forever Friend. Like a nursing mother could never forget her precious infant, God created us, and He will never forget us (Isaiah 49:15). He has inscribed our names on the palm of His hand, a constant reminder of our relationship.

Do not be dismayed by His silence when you no longer hear His voice in the noisy confusion of the conflict. Press ever closer to Him. Attune your ears to His direction. Persevere in obedience to the instructions that He last gave.

Do not be discouraged when you cannot see Him at work. He has not deserted you. Behind the scenes and beyond your sight, He is fighting for you. In His time, He will reveal how His hand has orchestrated your deliverance.

Do not fall prey to the lies of the enemy. To the ends of the earth, to the ends of this age, He is with you.

Steadfast in Doing Good–Trusting God's Timing

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9

“Doing good” seems effortless when life carries on as usual, but it becomes difficult when a challenge throws your whole world into tumult. Simple tasks become a challenge, and normal routines are hindered at every turn.

Challenging seasons are a time to lean into the Lord and not into our own understanding. It is not a time to lose heart but to trust Him with our whole hearts. When we welcome Him into our situation, He will keep us on the right track (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Rampant uncertainty floods our planet as we continually face unprecedented obstacles. We have learned how quickly our world can change and how tenuous is our stability over the last several years.

The good news is that we serve a God Who is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in the time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Under His sheltering wings, we find protection. In the pages of His Word, we find the truth upon which to stand. In the family of God, we find the support we need.

Don’t lose heart! Continue to do good. Even in times of uncertainty, He will cause us to reap a bountiful harvest.

Anointing With The Three-Fold Healing Of Communion

ANOINTING WITH THE THREE-FOLD HEALING OF COMMUNION 

"Priorities seeking God first this month, when you support the ministry with any gift amount, and watch as He aligns everything else in your life".

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows … but He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:4-5

In the contents of the Communion cup, we are reminded of our three-fold healing.

Jesus died to heal us emotionally. He bore our grief and sorrow; He carried them away. His sacrifice gave us victory over bitterness, unforgiveness, fear, grief, and depression. No regret for the past nor fear of the future has the power to diminish our lives. He fills us with a peace beyond our comprehension.

Jesus died to heal us physically. He took the stripes on His back to relieve us of sickness and disease. He was wounded so we could be completely whole, bruised so we could be healed. James encourages us to pray for one another because tremendous power is released through the heartfelt prayers of the Godly believer (James 5:16).

Jesus died to heal us spiritually. God laid on Him the sins of humankind, our wrong rolled onto Him so that we could be made right with God. Though our sins were scarlet, He washed them white as snow. He nailed the record of our debts to the Cross, canceling our IOU. Through Him, we are set free.

WELCOME TO AUGUST 2024

PRAYERS AND DECLARATIONS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST 2024

This month of August, every word of God spoken to you will not fall among thorns. They will not be choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. Rather, they will fall on a good ground, in an honest and good heart. This month, no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.

This is God’s word for you this month:

“fear not, for I am with you;

be not dismayed, for I am your God;

I will strengthen you, I will help you,

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Welcome to August. Happy new month. May you continually dwell in the secret place of the Most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty. The Lord is your refuge and your fortress:
